Oh The Wonderful Plane Ride...

This will, be the first time I have been on a place since I was 10 I'm not worried but I am not looking forward to being squashed into a small place with my long legs. But we'll see how it goes....

So we got to the airport safely and because we were so rushy rushy this morning, when we got to the air port we had an hour + to spare, so at 10:30 I asked my family if it was too early to start drinking and they all gave me the "are you freaking kidding me right now" look and against their weird looks and judgmental faces I ordered a sex on the beach. It was pretty strong, but hey for a 10 dollar drink at an airport it did what I needed it to.

So we decided to go to our gate and it hit me...

This was gonna be my home for the next SEVEN HOURS! I mean I have taken seven hour car rides but with car rides you can get up, get fresh air, walk around....obviously in a plane, you can't do that.

We boarded our plane and come to find out, I have the window seat! Boom! and I get the seat with the wing. I don't know I didn't think that it was that bad, it was just a little challenging taking pictures.
My aunt Michelle and I were looking pretty optimistic when we first got on the plane, We got to sit next to each other....it wasn't gonna be that bad....or so we thought. 6 hours later both of us could barley sit still. We just wanted to get up and move.
My aunt, being the way she is made me look at this and take a picture of it. I thought it was funny because all I could really think about while I was staring at it is the scene in fight club when they take these nice pamphlets and exchange them for ones with people all crazy and bleeding everywhere.

We finally started lifting off, which I'm not gonna lie, is probably my favorite part of the whole flight..

Up in the air, and my aunt can finally breath. Unlike me, she completely hates lift off and would do much better if she didn't have to ride them at all, but she likes traveling so I guess thats just the price you pay.

4 hours later....

Needless to say, I am struggling a little bit with this whole plane ride thing and I've only been on the plane for 4 hours. I can't imagine what it is gonna be like when I'm on the one to London (11 1/2 hours....man thats gonna suck) It really would't be that bad if I had just 2 more inches of leg room but my knees keep bashing into the seat in front of me. On a positive note, I have actually gotten some sleep! Granted its usually only a little bit at a time and I usually wake up with my neck crinked. Turns out, traveling with only two hours of sleep is exahusting....Ha ha, who woulda thought.

Heres a fun fact about the plane though, we are going 451 knotical miles per hour...You guess it we ARE going faster than superman.

We are above the ocean. Its hard to imagine that if we were to come crashing down we would barrel into the deep blue and probably die, or get eaten by sharks....Not really sure which one is better. Probably dying in the plane crash since it would be much quicker.

We are beginning our decent into Maui! My ears are popping and I'm getting excited! If only my stomach wasn't feeling so crampy....so ready to see the beach and get some sun on this albino body of mine!

Heres some pictures from the airport to the Hotel.

Uh, yeah thats gas prices here....along with everything else, its effing expensive.

Look at that beautiful blue ocean! Man, I can't wait to go swimming in it! :D

Stupid Blogger Mobile!

Okay, so I wasn't able to post things during the day because for some reason blogger mobile is not cooperating with my phone, so I took pictures and then wrote a little bit on my phone for every picture or idea that I came up with :) So here it goes...This will probably be how the rest of this trip will be as well so anyways...

Whats that?! A Kindle? NO WAY!

So, I am up, writing away at one of my London papers thinking about how I will be walking the beach and smelling the sand at this time tomorrow. Which, for anyone who doesn't know if it is 11pm Mountain time that means that it is 7pm in Hawaii. I am so freaking excited! Our flight leaves DIA (Denver International Airport) at 12:15 pm. Which means since the whole 9/11 thing we have to be there at 10am which also means that we have to leave my house by 6am...yuck, I am definitely not a morning person and am not looking forward to that whole business. Good thing I'll have a SEVEN HOUR flight to sleep on.

So something else that is pretty awesome, when I got home today my aunt michelle surprised me with my Easter present...
Yep, thats right, a Kindle! I've been thinking about getting one of these for a long time but I wasn't sure I would like it. Obviously with a Kindle I would need some money to get a couple of books so my grandmother walked in the room and....

BAM! $20 gift card for amazon kindle. Can you guess what books I got? Of course you can't, so I'll just tell you anyways. I got, The Hobbit, From the Teeth of Angels (was only $2.99), and Beautiful Disaster. This way I will have enough to read on the flight to Hawaii, and the flight from Hawaii. Since I have never been to the beach before you can most certainly expect some epic pictures of the beach! Well, anyways I must go back to writing my paper, so that hopefully I get it done tonight and I don't have to worry about doing stinky homework on my vacation. TOODLES <3

Hawaii Hotel

So, its Sunday and I am getting pretty excited because my Hawaii trip starts on Thursday! So I started looking at the place I'm going to be staying and needless to say....I am super freaking excited!

So this is the hotel that I am going to be staying in! And we even have a room overlooking the ocean! How freaking crazy! The hotel's name is westin kaanapali ocean view resort! I'm not even sure how to say the name but the spelling looks pretty cool.

I'm Kinda New To This Whole Travel Thing...

I have never really traveled before, besides going on band trips but this year is something completely new. I signed up to go to London, England with the Criminal Justice department at my school in May, and as a Christmas present from my grandmother, I get to go with her and my family to Hawaii. I am very thrilled and excited to be able to have the opportunity to go to these two wonderful places! Hopefully my travels don't end this year and I will be able to keep traveling! I am young and would like to see the world!!

Mugshot....No Wait Thats Just My Passport!

I have never had good luck with face shots of myself taken by someone else and my passport was no exception! I even got dressed up and did my hair, but it didn't help. I pretty much look like I'm about to kill someone, but oh well, at least I got it!
